Honda Reliability - with Jet Power flexibility
The Jet 65 is perfect for boating in locations where normal prop driven boats can’t operate. Rocky bottom shallows, white river rapids, and even over sandbars – your Honda Jet Drive can take you there.
The low-profile foot design allows a boater to maneuver in minimal depths without the fear of getting a propeller caught or damaged on rocky, rough bottoms, shallows, or other underwater obstacles.
Based on the BF90’s proven platform, the Jet 65 takes everything you love about the BF90 and adds the versatility of a Jet. You’re looking at Honda’s most advanced technology – a lightweight powerhouse in a mid-range package.
Starting with VTEC technology on the BF90. VTEC provides a superior blend of power, torque, and fuel efficiency at any speed. It’s the same Honda exclusive feature used on Honda cars, a premium innovation put to good use on our outboards.
The Jet 65 features BLAST™ (Boosted low speed torque) for rapid acceleration, ECOmo Lean Burn Control® for exceptional fuel economy at cruise and NMEA which enables all engine and fuel data to be viewed on a GPS screen.
VTEC™ delivers more power, torque and efficiency at every speed. At 4500rpm, a special high-lift cam engages to pack more air into the combustion chamber to produce more power.
VTEC™ and Dual Stage Induction work to produce a longer, flatter torque profile: the ultimate in fine-tuned performance.
The best choice for navigating in shallow waters.
The Jet 65 goes where props can't. Shallow lakes, rocky rivers, rapids, sandbars - our Jet outboards are ready to explore.

4-STROKES OF GENIUS IN A JET DRIVE
World-renowned Honda quality combines proven reliability and superior fuel efficiency, with no oil mixing.
Lean Burn Control® - Superior fuel efficiency
Lean Burn Control® increases fuel efficiency by allowing combustion to operate on a leaner air/fuel mixture. At cruising speed, this engine runs on up to 10% less fuel* than others in its class.
*Based on EPA Specific Fuel Consumption Mode.
Variable Speed Trolling - available on optional tiller model
For fisherman who want to slow troll, Honda's variable speed control is available on an optional tiller. The system adjusts in 50 RPM increments between 750 RPM and 1000 RPM.
Programmed Fuel Injection - Powerful performance
Programmed Fuel Injection delivers the precise amount of fuel/air to each cylinder. The result is easy starts and instant throttle response with superior fuel efficiency.
Superior Battery Charging - More usable power
There's always plenty of electric power with the Jet 65. Honda's exclusive neodymium magnet flywheel enables these engines to produce nearly twice as many charging amps as some competitors. The high output helps keep battery banks charged all day, even when running multiple accessories. The Jet 65 develops a total 44 amps and 35 charging amps.
SEVEN YEAR WARRANTY
As a testament to their quality and reliability, all Honda engines come with a SEVEN year, non-declining, non-commercial warranty or a THREE year commercial warranty. Shop around, you won't find a better warranty set up than Honda Marine.
