Honda’s revolutionary BLAST™ technology provides strong hole shot performance, getting the hull on the plane quicker. This air/fuel ratio and ignition-timing technology boosts engine torque at low RPM under rapid acceleration conditions. It’s NMEA compatible, meaning all engine data including speed, fuel consumption, cruising distance, etc can be displayed on the GPS screen.

Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC)
A powerful, compact 16-valve DOHC design creates more valve lift to pull in more air for increased horsepower. The low-maintenance design allows easy adjustment of the rocker arms. No multiple shims or trial-and-error adjusting needed.
On Demand Charging
Honda’s proven 'on demand' belt-driven alternator reduces heat build-up and provides superior battery charging capability. 55 Amp total, with 30 Amp charging at 1000 RPM and 40 Amp+ charging above 2000 RPM. The Automatic Idle Charge system meets increasing demand from onboard electronic equipment. If electrical demand increases at idle speed, the alternator automatically produces a higher output.
ECOmo - Lean Burn Control
Honda's Lean Burn Control technology, ECOmo, maximises fuel efficiency by adjusting the air/fuel mixture according to speed and load. Offering significantly improved fuel consumption over direct injection two-stroke and competing four-stroke models. It's class leading performance.
Drive By Wire (DBW) or Mechanical Rigging
The Drive By Wire engine control units offer binnacle-mounted throttle controls for as many as four engines, or side-flush mount for single engines. There is also a mechanical control unit that supports up to two engines and a single-helm location, as well as a side-mount control box.
Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI)
Honda’s renowned Programmed Fuel Injection is controlled by an advanced Engine Control Unit (ECU). Engine sensors precisely control the supply of fuel to the engine, providing easy starting, instantaneous throttle response and superior fuel economy.
Low Vibrations & Noise
The bottom mounted flywheel means less vibration and noise, providing you with quiet, smooth running.
Plug and Play with NMEA2000 Compliance
NMEA2000 compliant, this outboard allows simplified connectivity with NMEA2000 electronic equipment such as sonars/fish finders, chart plotters and other devices via CANbus network technology.
Trolling Control - Optional
Precise control at slow speed is just as important as high-speed handling, especially if you're fishing. The optional Trolling Control (DBW only) will hold the power back and let it out in increments of 50 RPM – ideal for fishing.
Runs on 91
The Honda range runs on unleaded, ideal for refueling at offshore stations which only have 91, while also saving you at the pump.
Engine Protection and Security
Alert systems monitor critical engine functions including engine temperature, oil pressure, fuel injection and charging, and will alert the boat user to abnormal operating conditions.
4-Front Corrosion Protection
Honda’s patented 4-Front corrosion paint process creates a tight barrier between the engine and environment. This double sealed, multi-layered process helps to keep your engine looking and performing like new.
Dual Stage Induction
Honda’s unique variable intake system controls the volume and velocity of air in the combustion chamber, then optimises air flow to match the engine’s speed. The result?
