On Demand Charging
Honda’s proven 'on demand' belt-driven alternator reduces heat build-up and provides superior battery charging capability. With dedicated charging of 60 amps, the Honda BF200D will keep all your electronics running and charged with ease.
ECOmo - Lean Burn Control
Honda's Lean Burn Control technology, ECOmo, maximises fuel efficiency by adjusting the air/fuel mixture according to speed and load. Offering significantly improved fuel consumption over direct injection two-stroke and competing four-stroke models. It's class leading performance.
Drive By Wire (DBW) or Mechanical Rigging
The Drive By Wire engine control units offer binnacle-mounted throttle controls for as many as four engines, or side-flush mount for single engines. There is also a mechanical control unit that supports up to two engines and a single-helm location, as well as a side-mount control box.
Dual Channel Induction
A dual-channel, indirect induction system improves airflow while helping funnel moisture away from the throttle body. This system provides for cooler, denser air for better combustion as compared to conventional under-cowl induction systems.
AMP+
At idle speeds, AMP+ automatically increases the RPM by 100 to produce an additional 9 extra amps when the engine senses a need for additional amperage. This helps prevent critical battery drain, a concern if you're fishing kilometres offshore. Ideal for when accessories such as Sonar, GPS, Lighting, Stereo, Live Wells and Trolling Motors are all operating simultaneously.

Engine Protection and Security
Alert systems monitor critical engine functions including engine temperature, oil pressure, fuel injection and charging, and will alert the boat user to abnormal operating conditions.

NMEA2000 compliant, this outboard allows simplified connectivity with NMEA2000 electronic equipment such as sonars/fish finders, chart plotters and other devices via CANbus network technology.
Trolling Control
Precise control at slow speed is just as important as high-speed handling, especially if you're fishing. The optional Trolling Control (DBW only) will hold the power back and let it out in increments of 50 RPM – ideal for fishing.
Runs on 91
The Honda range runs on unleaded, ideal for refueling at offshore stations which only have 91, while also saving you at the pump.
